In 1973, I lived in Ashdown Forest, Sussex, England. During this time I wrote and illustrated a children's story about an Asian elephant at the London Zoo, who I named "Elephoot". This is the forest where it all began.
Dear Fellow Artists, Friends and World....I had always wanted to work in the book publishing industry. In 1989, my wish became reality by following my heart to work for a company that published scientific magazines, journals, and books, American Institute of Physics, AIP, on Long Island, New York. I learned the business from the ground up. Years later with digital art becoming the main-stay, and laptop computers being the workstations, I took a children's book publishing class to become a self-publisher. In 2010, I started "Holdens Whimsicals" for greeting cards, initially, and then I expanded into book publishing. In 2013, I self-published "Elephoot."
