Artist's Description

The stories I heard about were about how the Cree were very capable people who migrated following the seasons and living off the land. I created this picture of a family encampment with the Native American woman waiting for her man-mate to get back from hunting. She is very capable in her own way - keeping camp- providing well for her family.
