Artist's Description
Elephoot was created in 1973 while I was attending college in Ashdown Forest, Sussex, England. The story of Elephoot came about because I had been visiting the London Zoo to find an unusual building to sketch for one of my classes. One of the elephants in the Round Top Elephant house seemed to take an interest in me... so I named her Elephoot and many stories have developed from visiting with this one elephant.

Dear Fellow Artists, Friends and World....I had always wanted to work in the book publishing industry. In 1989, my wish became reality by following my heart to work for a company that published scientific magazines, journals, and books, American Institute of Physics, AIP, on Long Island, New York. I learned the business from the ground up. Years later with digital art becoming the main-stay, and laptop computers being the workstations, I took a children's book publishing class to become a self-publisher. In 2010, I started "Holdens Whimsicals" for greeting cards, initially, and then I expanded into book publishing. In 2013, I self-published "Elephoot."
