Our spiral notebooks are 6" x 8" in size and include 120 pages which are lined on both sides. The artwork is printed on the front cover which is made of thick paper stock, and the back cover is medium gray in color. The inside of the back cover includes a pocket for storing extra paper and pens.

I painted this in 2002 as a thank you note to the fellers who I rented my condo from after returning from NY to CA. The significance of this image is a true story. While leaving NY, on September 6, 2001, my daughter, our feral gray and white cat, and her fish (who transported with us in a clear water jug) flew in the front of the jet. Every so often I had to unscrew the top to let the air out of the jug. We left behind an unforgettable life on Long Island where animals seemed to flock to us, no matter what kind, whether domesticated or wild, and we were unable to part with them... However, the turtle remained on Long Island as it probably would have been unhappy in California. The heron also remained behind to live out its natural life there; although I told my daugher that the herons have been known to fly across the US on their annual migrations and so we would probably see it once again some day. The owl stayed in the old oak tree just behind our house.

In 1989, my wish became reality by following my heart to work for a company that published scientific magazines, journals, and books, American Institute of Physics, AIP, on Long Island, New York. I learned the business from the ground up. Years later with digital art becoming the main-stay, and laptop computers being the workstations, I took a children's book publishing class to become a self-publisher.
